Excursions are when we leave the classroom in order to have a different learning experience. They are fun and help students improve their English and get to know their new city.
I have LOTS of ideas for excursions. I really want to go the Victoria Market and find out your opinions about it. Do you like this kind of shopping? Do you shop like this at home? How is it different from markets in your country? Will you take your friends there? We can present our opinions in the class and some people can find out facts and present those.
I also would like to go to the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. There is a place in there dedicated to short films made by people from Melbourne and they tell all kinds of stories about their lives. You can learn a lot about Melbourne from these movies.
Any other ideas for excursions?
How do you think excursions can help improve your English?
